Gareth Evans Releases Samurai Short Film
Question, what do you do when you’re an awesome action film director and you have some spare time to kill? Well if you’re Gareth Evans (The Raid, Merantau) you create a bad ass short film. With a group of actors and a skeleton crew behind the scenes he created a fun action scene that could rival most big-budget action movies. Filmed in three days it <Evans' frequent collaboraters Yayah Ruhian (The Raid series), Cecep Arif Rahman (The Raid 2) and Hannah Al Rashid (V/H/S 2). While nowhere near as polished as his regular films it's definitely worth a watch.

NickToons Movie In The Works
Seeing the success of 90’s properties like Goosebumps and their 90’s block of programming on TeenNick Nickelodeon announced an all out Nicktoons movie. Directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite) it is said to be similar to Who Framed Roger Rabbit featuring characters from Rugrats, Ren & Stimpy and Doug. Have to say the whole thing sounds like a trainwreck. A delightful one but a a trainwreck. I just can’t imagine how you combine so many different shows with such different tones. It could make for an interesting movie to say the least.
